This is not veterinary advice

Everything on PawCurve is general information and estimation for healthy pets. It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan, and not a substitute for examination by a veterinarian who can look at your animal. Use it for planning, comparison, and understanding population-level patterns. For symptoms, medication, treatment, or urgent concerns, contact your vet.

What these estimates cover

Our calculators describe populations. They tell you what dogs like yours have typically done. They cannot tell you what your individual dog will do, because your dog is one animal and not a distribution.

We publish our measured error precisely so this is impossible to misread: our puppy weight prediction has a median error of about 15%, and roughly one dog in five lands outside the range we quote. Those numbers show why the range matters. Please use the range, not the single number, when it matters.

Our figures assume a healthy, well-nourished pet. Illness, parasites, malnutrition, over-feeding, and the timing of neutering all affect growth — and none of them are things a calculator can see.

Our scope

PawCurve focuses on age, growth, lifespan, pregnancy timing, and feeding-start estimates. We do not publish medication dose calculators, symptom checkers, or anything else that steps into diagnosis or treatment, because those decisions need an examination and your pet's health history.

Where veterinary care matters

  • Your puppy is losing weight, or has stopped gaining
  • Growth has dropped across percentile bands rather than tracking steadily — the trend matters more than any single reading
  • Your pet is lethargic, off its food, vomiting, or has diarrhea
  • You are deciding when to neuter, especially a large breed
  • Anything at all feels wrong to you. You know your animal.

Accuracy and liability

We work hard to be accurate and we show our sources so you can check them, but we provide this site "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss or harm arising from reliance on these estimates. If you find an error, please tell us — see About.
