Privacy policy

Last updated 2026-07-17.

The short version

  • No account, no sign-up, no forms. You can use every tool without telling us anything.
  • The calculators run in your browser — the numbers you type are not sent to us.
  • We set no analytics or advertising cookies until you accept them in the cookie banner.
  • We never sell your personal information.

Who we are

PawCurve publishes pet-care calculators and guides. This document explains what data the site processes and why. If anything here is unclear, contact us — we would rather explain than leave you guessing.

What the calculators do with your input

Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your own browser. When you enter a weight, an age, or a date, that value is used to compute a result on your device and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. We keep no record of it. Closing the tab discards it.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our hosting provider records standard server logs when a page is requested: your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. This is used to keep the site running and secure, and to understand aggregate traffic. It is not used to identify you personally.

Cookies and similar technologies

We group cookies into three kinds. Only the first is stored until you decide; choosing Accept all turns on the other two together, and Necessary only keeps them off:

  • Strictly necessary — a single small record of your cookie choice itself, so we don't ask on every page. This is the only thing stored until you choose otherwise.
  • Analytics — if you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful and where people get stuck. These cookies load only after you consent.
  • Advertising — if advertising is enabled and you accept, Google AdSense may set cookies to show and measure ads. These also load only after you consent.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer. Until you accept analytics or advertising, neither is loaded.

Third-party services

When enabled with your consent, these third parties may process data:

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — aggregate usage analytics. See Google'sprivacy policy.
  • Google AdSense (Google LLC) — advertising, if and when we enable it. Google may use cookies to personalize ads; you can manage this atGoogle Ad Settings.
  • Affiliate partners — some outbound links may be affiliate links (for example to pet-supply retailers). See ouraffiliate disclosure for how those work and what data the retailer receives when you click.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data. Under the GDPR (EU/UK) you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability, and object to processing. Under the CCPA/CPRA (California) you may request access or deletion and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — though, to be clear, we do not sell your personal information.

Because we hold no account and no records tied to you, most requests amount to controlling cookies (which you do directly via the banner) or asking Google to act on data it holds. For anything else, email us and we will respond.

Children

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will address it.

Data retention, security, and location

We keep no personal database, so there is nothing for us to retain beyond short-lived server logs held by our host. The site is served over HTTPS. Our hosting and the third parties above operate globally, which may include processing in the United States; where required, those providers rely on their own safeguards for international transfers.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices change — for example when advertising is switched on — we will update this page and its "last updated" date. Material changes will be reflected here before the new practice takes effect.
